Shevchenko Palace of Culture

The Palace of Culture was built in 1948 in order to increase the cultural heritage and preserve the existed heritage of many nationalities of the city.

Since 1950, it starts to work as a Chekhov Russian drama theater.

From 1962 it works as Shevchenko House of Culture.

In 2012 it was renamed to the Palace of Culture, and in 2016 – to the communal institution of the Izmail City Council “Shevchenko Palace of Culture”.
